Q: What makes C.U.S. different from other Latina/multicultural sororities?

A: When it comes down to it, the choice is yours!  But we are different because we choose to be independent from a brother
organization in order to elevate, educate and empower women; not only our members, but also members of the communities we
come from.  Our tactics are unlike any other organization as we use the vehicles of political, educational, cultural and social
awareness to carry out our mission of educating ourselves and our community. This is exemplified in our motto, “Wisdom Through
Education”.  Another point that sets us apart is that we focus on the quality of our members and not the quantity.  At times, our
chapters may be small in numbers but we achieve our goals as if we had the strength of the masses.

Q:
Why do C.U.S. chapters contain fewer sisters then other organizations?

A: A person may see numbers but we see worth.  It takes only one person to make a difference. Our sisterhood realizes the
important ideology that you do not necessarily need to have a huge amount of sisters to make a difference on campus and within
the surrounding communities. We believe in our Sisters’ abilities and strengths to carry out the sorority’s mission.  Whether the
chapter has one Sister or many, the goal is always successfully carried out. Sisters also enjoy the privilege of knowing more than
just a few sisters at a particular chapter. Smaller chapters allow us to have a more intimate knowledge of who our sisters are
nationwide. Our chapters vary in size; we have both small and large chapters on a national scale.  There is no one answer as to
why C.U.S. chapters contain fewer Sisters as it can depend upon various factors such as school rules, potential students and the
goals of the current chapter.  But no matter the size, a chapter is supported, nurtured and given the proper tools to help achieve
chapter/national goals.

Q:
How can C.U.S. impact my campus?

A: C.U.S. can impact your campus in so many ways.  While we focus on education, political awareness, and community service for
our sisters, we don’t stop there – we extend it to our communities. C.U.S. can positively impact your campus by providing
educational workshops and hands on community service.  Your voice can be heard in C.U.S.  So not only can C.U.S. impact your
campus, but YOU can impact YOUR campus.  If there is an idea, a social issue or even a hot topic you want to bring awareness to,
C.U.S. can provide the forum for such ideas.  C.U.S. can also impact your campus by bridging the gaps between different
organizations, as we work with both Greek and non-Greek organizations.  C.U.S. also provides women with a home away from
home; a positive group of educated women all aiming to achieve similar goals : to educate themselves and the surrounding
community.  Lastly, we also inspire other women like us to be agents of change in their communities. Do you want to inspire others
and make a difference too?  If the answer is yes, C.U.S. might be right for you.

Q:
Why is your motto: "Wisdom through Education" so important?

A: Wisdom Through Education is so important to C.U.S. because it promotes education not only in institutions of higher education
but education within our communities. It is about going to people in our communities and learning from them and them learning from
us.  You are in school for one purpose, and one purpose alone, and that is to further your education.  Our motto, “Wisdom through
Education”, is so important because we feel education is the foundation of knowledge and wisdom.  We strongly believe that this
knowledge and wisdom will lead to our members becoming successful professionals who will become agents of change.

Q:
Do I have to become an O.W.L. in order to be part of C.U.S.?

A: No, you do not have to become an O.W.L. in order to be a part of C.U.S.  The choice is yours if you would like to be an O.W.L.
and it is recommended since it can be a great tool in helping you make your decision on whether C.U.S. is the right “fit” for you. It
also gives you the opportunity to see what being a Sister of C.U.S. entails.  We suggest that you to look into other organizations as
well to see what will be the best fit for you.  We strive to provide plenty of opportunities for you to see if C.U.S. will be the right fit for
you because being a Sister of C.U.S. is a life-long commitment.

Q:
How active are your alumnae?

A: C.U.S. Alumnae are very active in C.U.S.  While many of the alumnae sisters are balancing work, families, graduate school and
many times higher education they still make C.U.S. a priority in their lives.  It is very rewarding for us to bring in new sisters and see
them fulfill their potential. All this is evidenced in our 7 current graduate chapters, our Grand Chapter Board and regional boards
which are all run/led by alumnae.  Since C.U.S. is a life-long commitment, we aim to provide our membership various opportunities
for involvement after college such as our graduate chapters, committees, alumna advisor roles, regional boards and various
working groups specific for alumnae.

Q:
Why should I choose C.U.S.?

A: You should choose C.U.S. because you feel it is the right fit for you!  You should choose C.U.S. because you feel at home when
you are with Sisters, you feel that you can be yourself and you believe in the common goals of the organization.  C.U.S. is a strong,
diverse, educated group of women that aim to help their community.  We are leaders and we are making moves and impacting the
world around us.  If you want to be a part of that bond of hard work, Sisterhood and dedication, then contact us
